* PLENARY AND SYMPOSIUM SESSIONS

NOMINATION OF SPEAKERS

The following are the criteria for the nomination of speakers for the plenary sessions and symposiums:

    1.    Nominee is/has been directly and actively involved in any service for persons
           with disabilities.
    2.   He/she has received recognition at any level for work done on the respective
          topics of the plenary session or symposium.
    3.   He/she has been actively involved in the work related to topics in the plenary
          session and symposium.
    4.   For nominees from an industrialised society, work done by him/her must have
          gone through the various phases of industrialisation.
    5.   Preference is given to persons with disabilities.

N.B.  Self-nomination is encouraged.

 
GUIDELINES FOR PAPER PRESENTATION

Title of papers must be related to the respective topics under the main theme, i.e.,
'Towards More Effective Participation Of Persons With Disabilities In An Industrialising Society'

    1.   Duration of each presentation is 20 minutes.
    2.   English will be the primary language for presentation and discussion.
    3.   Hearing-impaired presenters will be assisted by sign language intrepreters.
