What is the significance of CAMPAIGN '99 ?Malaysia is a signatory to the Proclamation on the Full Participation and Equality of People with Disabilities in the Asian and Pacific Region. Our Prime Minister, YAB Dato' Seri Mahathir Mohamad, signed the Proclamation on 16th May, 1994. YAB underscored Malaysia's commitment to fulfilling the goal of the Asian and Pacific Decade of Disabled Persons (1993-2002) i.e., Full Participation and Equality of People with Disabilities. This is in keeping with Malaysia's pursuance of a caring society.
The workshop is designed to be interactive. Your participation is very important to ensure that your voice gets heard… as we will bring your ideas to the NCC (National Co-ordinating Committee) which is the enforcement committee at its highest level. The NCC reports to the government.
The Scientific Committee is one of the working committee for Campaign'99. Our task is to put together a forum where you can have an opportunity to speak and discuss on issues that concern your life...
